The Manager Co-Pack Operations coordinates and leads the commercialization initiatives with co-packers on a business standpoint and serves as the project management office for such purposes. Continuous scouting of new co-packers inside and outside of USA for innovation. This position interacts with senior leadership and functional areas of co-packers and the leaders of the functional areas and business units in BBU as well as the operational team members.

This position is responsible for creating, ensuring, and maintaining a Continuous Improvement environment by improving products, service, and processes with the objective to reduce waste within the Region while striving for efficiency and profitability.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Systems alignment leadership and coordination.
  • Coordination and leadership between BBU areas and co-packers.
  • Project management execution and leadership for new products and new co-packers.
  • Demand planning coordination of new business.
  • New co-packer set up once identified for new products.
  • Lead multi-level, cross functional teams which include Co packer Executive Management, BBU R&D, Marketing, Packaging Engineering, Manufacturing Commercialization and Finance, for a successful new product launch or for resourcing an existing product.
  • Provide leadership to facilitate a successful product launch, this includes ensuring copacker is setup in BBU systems, inspected and approved by BBU Food Safety and Quality, financial analysis has been completed, pricing has been agreed upon and setup in systems, formulas have been shared by R&D to copacker, ingredients and packaging materials have been ordered and are ready for production startup, and ensure BBU support for startup.
  • Partner with R&D during ideation/development to understand copacker requirements for successful creation of new products.
  • Organize and lead special projects to determine optimum sourcing for supply chain resiliency and lowest landed cost within Co-pack & BBU network. Communicate and partner with all levels of BBU Supply Chain to optimize Co-pack network.
  • Identify source of key production support when needed to ensure sales orders are filled 100% and business can continue to grow.
  • Organize and facilitate implementation of waste elimination and productivity initiatives at Co-packers.
  • Ensure the effective execution of company initiatives including new methods of supply chain, seasonal business requirements, etc.
  • Participate in the development and execution of new strategies designed to lower cost and or improve service.
  • Interact with members of all BBU areas and co-packers for leadership to continuously improve the business.
  • Work co-cooperatively with other Supply Chain Logistics Leaders.
  • Take on special projects and additional duties as assigned.
  • Willingness to work select holiday's and weekends.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Finance, or another business-related field. A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in supply chain, process, finance, or business management.
  • Must possess computer knowledge in Microsoft office applications.

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills along with strong analytical capabilities.
