























Description
The Marketing Manager supports the Director of Undergraduate Marketing to provide marketing support to Enrollment Management (Offices of Undergraduate Admission and Financial Assistance) in activities pertaining to the recruitment of traditional undergraduate students. The individual is responsible for content creation for the undergraduate admission social media channels and website. The Marketing Manager will also provide copywriting support to print publications and email marketing campaigns. Under the direction of and in collaboration with the Senior Director of Marketing, the Marketing Manager will also support University-level marketing projects and initiatives, as assigned.
This includes assisting with the conception and development of print, digital, social media and video marketing campaigns meant to communicate the Villanova story to prospective students throughout their recruitment. Ensure that all materials align with the University brand and messaging, and advance the University’s strategic objectives.
Responsible for the maintenance of the Office of Undergraduate Admission and Office of Financial Aid websites, the Villanova Virtual Visit, as well as the Undergraduate Admission social media accounts, developing and managing a content calendar in collaboration with campus partners.
Under the direction of and in collaboration with the Senior Director of Marketing, the Marketing Manager will provide support to University-level marketing projects and initiatives. This includes assisting with the creation and production of University-related video projects to ensure excellence of content and strong representation of the Villanova brand, and maintenance of the University YouTube and Vimeo video platforms.
Perform other duties and assist with projects as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum requirements:
Formal Education
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or English/journalism is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience can be considered.
Work Experience
- 4+ years of professional marketing experience, including writing, project managment, and digital and video content creation within an academic, non-profit or business environment.
Work Skills (e.g., written and verbal communication skills)
- Must be a team player with strong writing, interpersonal, organizational and planning skills. Must be a flexible, upbeat, energetic self-starter who enjoys collaboration with a wide variety of constituencies; must be able to handle multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and possibly holidays as the demands of the job dictate. Must have a deep commitment to the well-being of the University, a commitment to the University's Catholic/Augustinian heritage, advancement of its mission and to serving the needs of a diverse community.
Specific Job Knowledge (e.g., knowledge of principles and procedures related to field and area)
- The individual must have detailed working knowledge of the marketing function, including brand management, advertising and promotion, and digital communications. Must have a proven record of developing, executing and evaluating strategic and tactical marketing and communications plans. Must be proficient in all standard computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat. Must be competent at performing online research and possess a working knowledge of databases.
Equipment Knowledge
- Must be capable of operating standard office equipment.

- Experience within a higher education or sophisticated non-profit environment is preferred.
